Machine House

Cost: 5,000 coins
Description: Trade Gasoline for Time Points. Collect items from Machine House. Secondary purpose of storage for Machines.
Materials Needed? YES

Level 1 Holds 2 Machines
Level 2 Holds 6 Machines: Air Vent (ASK) - 25 pieces, Fan Blade (ASK) - 25 pieces, Fuel Tank (5 RC) - 1 piece
Level 3 Holds 10 Machines: Air Vent (ASK) - 30 pieces, Fan Blade (ASK) - 30 pieces, Air Duct (4 RC each) - 2 pieces

Level 4 Holds 15 Machines: Air Vent (ASK) - 30 pieces, Fan Blade (ASK) - 30 pieces, Fuel Tank (5 RC) - 1 piece

The Machine House stores your machines while giving you the option to have your machines produce items while they are in the Machine House. You can also move machines back to the farm if you just want to use the Machine House as Storage.

When you open up the Machine House, there is a little clock with a plus sign at the top left. Click the plus sign, and this window pops up. At the bottom left corner, a counter shows you how much Gasoline you currently have. (This includes ONLY Gasoline that you have added from your gift box. If it is still in your gift box, that amount is not included in the counter.) You can trade Gasoline for Time Points, and it doesn't take much Gasoline to get a lot of Time Points.

The small circle with a line through it on the right hand side of each machine picture allows you to move the machine back to the farm.

If your Machine House is not full, an "ADD MACHINES" button will show up on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Click the button, which will take you back to your farm, with a blue arrow icon. Choose a machine to add into the house.

To use a machine in the house, make sure you have Time Points (explained towards the beginning of this post), and then click Fill, which will open this window. Click the arrow to find the item you'd like to produce. When you find the item, click it, and the display will show you how long it will take you to create all the items. The yellow dot will automatically move to the right when you have selected the item you want, but you can move it back to the left if you need to lessen the quantity. The display will also tell you how many items and time points you need to create the quantity, Once you have all your selections the way you want, click START PRODUCTION.

After you click, the window will go away and go back to the default screen. The icon at the top right will change to a green arrow, a timer will pop up showing you how long you have left before the machine is done, and the amount of items you want to create. The purple FINISH NOW button allows you to pay RC to finish the production faster. The Green Arrow allows you to cancel the production if you wish.

If you click the Green Arrow to cancel, you will get your Time Points and items back.

After you close the Machine House window, and you hover over it while it's on your farm, a green line will form around the box of any machines that are currently working inside the house. Items that are just being stored will have nothing around them.

When your machine is done producing, an Exclamation Point inside a Cloud will show up on the roof of the Machine House.

Click the Machine House and the default window will pop up again. Your machine that is done producing will have a COLLECT button under it. Click that to collect your product, which will go to your barn, and you are done!

If a goal comes up asking for you to "Place the ** Machine on your farm," and you take one out of your Machine House, the goal will not register that you have placed it. The solution to this is to put the machine in the Warehouse, and then take it out again. Machines taken out of the Warehouse WILL register for these goals, you do NOT have to purchase a second machine to fulfill the goals.

Tree Greenhouse

Description: Reduce trees inside growth time by 25%
Materials Needed? YES

Greenhouse

Cost: 15,000 coins

The Greenhouse is listed in game under the STORAGE tab of buildings, but it is actually a tool for helping your crops grow faster. Placing the Greenhouse can be a bit tricky because you cannot place it over existing farm plots before it is built, so you will need to place it on a large patch of empty area. When you place the Greenhouse, you will first need to build it by asking your friends for parts. The Wedding Madness I goal from the left hand side of your screen gives you 15 Glass Panes, and 15 Aluminum Tubes.

Parts Needed:
  • Glass Pane: (ASK) - 30 pieces
  • Aluminum Tube: (ASK) - 30 pieces

After you have finished building the Greenhouse, it will ask you to place farm plots in it. The space inside allows you to hold 24 plots. The Greenhouse needs no additional upgrades, once you have built it, and planted crops in the soil, they will automatically grow 25% faster than crops not in the Greenhouse.

To place plots inside, go to the MOVE function in the settings panel, and the Greenhouse will then lower its walls and become a grid. Each square green area will hold one plot. After you have put all the plots in the Greenhouse, you can then plant crops. If the wall is down, you can plant and harvest crops individually in each spot.

If the walls are up, you will see a menu when you hover over the Greenhouse. You can either PLANT ALL, which will plant the same crop in all 24 spots, and it will use 24 OP to do it. If you had fully grown crops in the Greenhouse, and you hovered over it, you could click HARVEST ALL, and the game will use 24 OP to harvest all the plots. The arrows show you what you have planted. Similar to the Summer Grove, you can hover over the crops in the square to see how much time each crop has left before you can harvest.

Summer Grove

Cost: 500 coins
Description: Reduces trees growth time by 15% for Level 1, and 25% for Level 2

The Summer Grove is a storage object that allows you to place 36 trees within the fenced off area. It is very handy because trees not placed in a grove have a very large footprint. In the grove, you can literally place trees right next to each other. After you place the Summer Grove, you will have to ask for parts to build it. This grove does also have Ranch Cash parts needed to complete it.

Parts Needed:
  • Grove Fence 1: (ASK) - 20 pieces
  • Grove Fence 2: (3 RC each) - 3 pieces
After you've completed building the Summer Grove, and you are ready to place trees in it, Click the MOVE icon in your settings panel.

The Summer Grove will look like this in MOVE mode. The light green spots are available spots whereas the dark green spots mean there is already a tree there. If you try to place a tree on top of a square with a tree already on it, the square will turn red.

Once you have selected a tree to place in the grid, it will look like this.

After you have placed the tree, the visual of the tree will disappear, and the grid will look like this. The newest tree is in the dark green, the already placed trees are red, and the empty spots are light green.

The Summer Grove can be upgraded to Level 2, where it will then not only support 36 trees, but it will reduce their growth time by 25%. When you are done placing trees, click the MOVE button again to release MOVE mode. Now, when you mouse over your Summer Grove, it will have the trees you placed, as well as a control panel. The green lines around each tree show how much longer the tree has before it's fully ready to harvest. If you mouse over the picture of the tree, it will show a countdown timer to harvest. If you have trees ready to harvest, the HARVEST button will change to blue and you can click it once to harvest the multiple trees that are ready.

Clicking the UPGRADE button will open up a panel with some additional information about the grove. Click the second UPGRADE button to get to the panel where you can build your Level 2 Summer Grove.

Now you can ask friends for materials to upgrade the Summer Grove to its full functionality and then your trees will be ready to harvest in 25% less time. The Summer Grove's maximum level is 2.

Parts Needed:
  • Big Brick Fence 1: (ASK) - 20 pieces
  • Big Brick Fence 2: (ASK) - 20 pieces
  • Sunflower Fence 1: (ASK) - 20 pieces
  • Sunflower Fence 2: (ASK) - 20 pieces

Warehouse

Cost: 15,000 coins

The warehouse is the building where you can store extra items from your farm if you find yourself running low on space. When you place your warehouse, you will need to staff it before you can start to use it. If you click the HIRE FRIENDS button, you will be able to choose from a list of your friends who currently play Family Farm. If you click the INVITE button, you will be asked to choose from friends who do not have the application. If you click the BUY button, you can fill the positions with 3 Ranch Cash each. Once all the positions have been filled, the warehouse will automatically become functional.

There are five categories of things allowed in the warehouse, Animals, Gear, Decorations, Buildings, and Super Soil. Up at the top of the Warehouse Control Panel is the amount of storage you currently have. The warehouse starts out with 20 storage slots, and you can upgrade to get more slots, by asking for parts. On the top left, is a secondary sorting function, with the choices Alphabetic and Quantity.

The crown at the top right is where you can choose your warehouses' appearance if you have the correct amount of Honor Points.

Clicking the Add button if you have space, will make your cursor turn into a box with an arrow on it, where you can then select which item on your farm you would like to place in the warehouse. To use an item again, click USE and you can place it back on your farm.

To give yourself more storage, click the Level up button. Every stage of the warehouse upgrade requires Tile, Wood, and Paint. The higher the level, the more parts you will need.

Level 1 (Default 20 slots): (ASK) - 3 staff slots filled
Level 2 (Upgrades to 30 slots): (ASK) - Tile - 10 pieces, Wood - 10 pieces, Paint - 10 pieces
Level 3 (Upgrades to 40 slots): (ASK) - Tile - 20 pieces, Wood - 20 pieces, Paint - 20 pieces
Level 4 (Upgrades to 50 slots): (ASK) - Tile - 30 pieces, Wood - 30 pieces, Paint - 30 pieces
Level 5 (Upgrades to 60 slots): (ASK) - Tile - 40 pieces, Wood - 40 pieces, Paint - 40 pieces
Level 6 (Upgrades to 70 slots): (ASK) - Tile - 50 pieces, Wood - 50 pieces, Paint - 50 pieces
